Summary I was the Lead Data Scientist for Hitachi Social Innovation, tied to the Optimise Prime programme. Optimise Prime is the worlds largest commercial electric vehicle trial. It is a £35 million Ofgem energy innovation project, with partners Uber, Royal Mail, Centrica (British Gas), the energy regulator Ofgem and Distribution Network Operators UKPN and SSEN. The project helped commercial partners understand the best way to transition their petrol and diesel fleets to electric, from using data analysis to recommend appropriately ranged vans to machine learning to understand driver behavioural patterns and recommend chargepoint installation zones in London....

Summary I worked at Streetbees to complete a 4 month MSc research project, where I was a permanent member of the team as a Research Machine Learning Scientist. I improved the state-of-the-art Google BERT models on key sentiment analysis metrics, which were essential for Streetbees product use cases. At Iconal I worked on two projects in the security sector. The first was developing a machine learning algorithm to classify custom X-Ray images of bags into threat vs non-threat. The X-Ray sensor setup was custom-build, and used multi-sensor fusion to arrive at the classification. I hold a patent for the algorithm, and was responsible for the entire data algorithm design process, from data collection to model training and deployment.
